Question: OK, my girlfriend and I are a bit confused by last week's Desperate Housewives episode. At the end where Lynette screams, is it because her house is destroyed or because Mrs. McCluskey's house is completely demolished and all of her family were in there? — Megan V.
Matt Roush: A little bit of everything, I think. That awesome final tableau of Wisteria Lane in ruins was enough to make anyone cry. But the fact that as she and Mrs. McCluskey emerged to survey the damage, all she could see of her family's shelter was rubble no doubt prompted that shriek of anguish (which ABC promoted endlessly before the episode ever aired). I wouldn't fret for Lynette. No matter how aggravating her family can be, the show isn't going to kill them off.
